Recovering from birth — whether via caesarean or perineal trauma — doesn’t just end when the scar closes. When to start: Only begin once the incision is fully healed — when stitches or staples have gone, scabs are gone, the skin is dry and there’s no redness, drainage or tenderness. This may be around 2–4 weeks post-C-section (or at your postnatal check-up), depending on individual healing.
Wear schedule: For best results, aim for a minimum of 12 hours per day, gradually working up to 20–23 hours if comfortable. Consistent daily wear — alongside our gentle Mothership exercises — gives the best chance of softer, flatter scars.

Maintenance: Use medical-grade silicone (as we offer), keep skin clean and dry before applying, and wash the silicone sheet regularly with mild soap. Rotate pieces if reusing, and replace when adhesive starts to wear or irritation occurs.
